Funeral Services for Late Frank Mobley Held Yesterday-Remains Are Shipped North for Interment
Funeral service ever the remains of the late Frank H. Mobley, M.P.P., was held at 5 o'clock last evening in the B. C. Funeral Chapel, where an impressive service was conducted by the Rev. J. G. Inkster. Two hymns were sung, "Jesus, Lover of My Soul," and "Rock of Ages."
There was a very large attendance, Including members of the Provincial, Cabinet, Hon. Mr. Bowser, Leader of the Opposition; members of the House, representatives of the civil service staff, also representatives of the Queen City Chapter and Victoria Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, also the Nazarine Shrine of White Shrine of Jerusalem, and other organizations. The president of the Victoria Liberal Association represented that organization. Many beautiful floral tributes covered the casket.
At the conclusion of the service the remains were shipped to Vancouver, en route to Prince Rupert, where interment will take place. The body will be escorted home by a son of the deceased, and Mr. Stewart, a business partner of the late Mr. Mobley.
The following gentlemen acted as pallbearers: Hon. T. D. Pattullo, Dr. Sutherland, M.P.P.; W. H. Ross, M.P.P.; James Schofield, M.P.P.; John Yorston, M.P.P., and Mr. D. G. Stewart, of Prince Rupert.
The desk of the late member for Atlin in the legislative chamber was draped in black yesterday and before it stood a magnificent wreath sent on behalf of the members. Yesterday's session of the House was.' curtailed to permit members attending the funeral services.”
